Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 April 2026. This policy explains what personal information MS Business Solutions collects, how it is used, and your rights under Australian privacy law.

1. About this policy

MS Business Solutions (ABN [PLACEHOLDER], "we", "us", "our") is a sole-trader IT consulting practice based in Craigieburn, Victoria. This policy describes how we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What information we collect

We collect personal information that you provide to us directly, including:

  • Your name, email address, phone number and organisation, when you submit the contact form, subscribe to the newsletter, or book a discovery call
  • The content of your message to us
  • Information you share during an engagement, to the extent needed to deliver the service

We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit this website:

  • Aggregate, non-identifying analytics (page views, referring site, browser type) via a privacy-friendly analytics service
  • Server logs, retained for no longer than is required for security and diagnostic purposes

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your enquiry or arrange a discovery call
  • Deliver the services you have engaged us to perform
  • Send you the monthly insights newsletter, if you have subscribed
  • Comply with our legal and professional obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing to third parties.

4. Third-party services we use

We use a small number of trusted third parties to operate this website and service. Each holds only the information necessary for their specific function:

  • Static website host. To serve this website.
  • Privacy-friendly analytics (e.g. Plausible or similar). For aggregate page-level statistics. No personal identifiers.
  • Form handler (e.g. Formspree, Netlify Forms or similar). To deliver messages you send via the contact form to our email inbox.
  • Calendar booking (e.g. Calendly or Cal.com). To facilitate discovery call scheduling, if you choose to use it.
  • Email provider. For correspondence and (optionally) newsletter delivery.

Where these providers host information outside Australia, we take reasonable steps to ensure they provide protections consistent with the APPs.

5. How we store and protect information

Your information is stored in systems protected by reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards. We retain information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law.

Contact-form submissions are typically retained for up to 24 months to enable us to follow up on enquiries. Client engagement records are retained for a minimum period required by professional and tax obligations (currently seven years in Australia).

6. Your rights

Under the APPs, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of any information that is inaccurate or out of date
  • Request deletion, subject to any legal retention obligations

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@msbusinesssolutions.au. We respond to privacy enquiries within 30 days.

7. Cookies

This website sets no marketing or tracking cookies. The privacy-friendly analytics service we use is cookieless. Third-party embeds (for example the calendar booking tool on /book or the map on /contact) may set cookies necessary for their operation.
